Lefkada island is one of the most beautiful islands in the Ionian complex. Situated close to the Greek mainland, with direct access by car via a small bridge, Lefkada attracts a large amount of tourists every summer. Impressively, though, the island has kept its natural beauty intact and has retained its traditional character.
Lefkada is especially known for its crystal beaches on the western side and for its nice seaside villages. Friendly hospitality, delicious food and exotic beaches are offered in the scenic villages, which satisfy all tastes. Some of Lefkada best villages include Lefkada Town, the capital of the island, Sivota and the pretty seaside village of Agios Nikitas.
Town of Lefkada
Lefkada Town is located on the north-eastern side of the island, connected to the Greek mainland via a small bridge. This is a place with distinguishing architecture and natural treasures. Charming traditional wooden houses with coloured metal sheets are lining up the narrow cobbled streets, leading to several local shops, souvenir stores and restaurants.
At the entrance of Lefkada Town visitors will find the impressive Medieval Castle of Agia Mavra. In town there are a lot of interesting sights, including numerous churches, fortresses and museums, such as the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Phonographs. All these attractions are within a walking distance from our lovely complex.
After a long day of sightseeing and swimming in wonderful beaches, a stroll along the port would be an ideal way to spend the evening. There are many chic bars and bistros, where you can enjoy a drink, listen to international music and taste local delicacies. In a walking distance from the town centre is our complex of apartments and studios.
Among Lefkada best villages is the village of Sivota, found on the southern side of the island, amidst flourishing green hills and beautiful forests. Sivota is built on a natural bay that is used as a marina for private yachts. Its lovely port is perfect for a romantic walk in the evening, offering amazing sea views. In Sivota do not miss the chance to dine in one of the traditional fish taverns along the port.
On the western side of Lefkada is the charming seaside village of Agios Nikitas. This place is constructed around a long pedestrian promenade, lined up with local stores, charming souvenir shops, cafeterias and seaside taverns.
A nice pebbled beach with amazing waters can be found at the end of the downhill street, right next to the restaurants. Its location, close to the fantastic, organized beaches of Kathisma and Egremni, makes Agios Nikitas one of Lefkada best villages, getting very busy during summer months.
